Greater Yamaha has fast become one of the country's largest powersports dealers.   Greater Yamaha's roots are in racing.  Starting in 1995 Greater emerged on the racing scene winning its first world title.  In the years that followed Greater teamed up with Factory Yamaha racing to produce more champions.  Some of Greater's riders over the years have included: Lloyd Burlew, Billy Pointer, Rick Roy, Alexander Lenzi, Tera Laho, & Victor Sheldon.

In its quest to be number one Greater has always used the best technology & parts available.  Along the way Greater began producing its own brand of high performance racing parts.  They didn't just slap their name on any part.  They spent the time researching and developing what works.

After the 2001 season Greater stepped away from the racing scene.  Racing was going through some changes &  Greater Yamaha's store front was growing in leaps and bounds.   The break from racing allowed Greater to focus on growing.

After the years away from racing - WE ARE BACK!  Don't let our size fool you.  Greater is not some "Bigwig" corporate dealership.  Greater is a family owned dealership that focuses on the customer and their needs.   Once you deal with Greater Yamaha you become one of our family.  At Greater Yamaha we are not only enthusiasts - We are racers.  Racing is in our blood!  When we aren't on the water racing you can find us racing Motocross, Hare Scrambles,  Mini Motard, & Street Racing.  If it has a motor - Lets Race!

Earlier this year Greater Racing started to work with the YAMAHA FZR.  With only one of the boats ready to go we headed off to Myrtle Beach in June for the national races.  Greater Yamaha tech and racer Daniel Steele won his back to back motos both days.  Former World Champion and Greater Yamaha rider Carrington Lloyd made his return to the race circuit.  He held his own in the Pro Stock class but was put out in the second moto by another racer t-boning his boat.  Greater Yamaha's race team was built around and driven by the efforts of Carrington & his family.

With our return to racing this year - We have begun to develop performance parts for the YAMAHA FZR.  We will also be putting together some performance kits for several of the other YAMAHA models.   The upcoming 2010 Yamaha Waverunner release is just around the corner.  With their release Greater will begin to develop performance parts for the 2010 models along with the 2009 models.
